This bedroom was adjacent to Minerva McGonagall's office on the first floor of Hogwarts Castle. It was described as being "sparse" and "stone-floored". The room was accessible through a hidden door in the wall of McGonagall's study.[1]
History[]
Minerva McGonagall lived in this bedroom after joining the Transfiguration department during her employment at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but she moved out to live in a cottage in Hogsmeade with her husband, Elphinstone Urquart, in 1982. When Urquhart died three years later, McGonagall moved back into this bedroom.[1]
