This article is non-canon.
This article covers a subject that has been deemed non-canon by either the author or the Harry Potter licensees, and thus should not be taken as a part of the "real" Harry Potter universe. |
"Are you a wizard, or what?"
The title of this article is conjectural. Although it is based on canonical information, the actual name is a conjecture and may be supplanted at any time by additional information released from canonical sources. If this occurs, please move this page to the appropriate title. |
This individual succeeded Minerva McGonagall in the post of Head of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This individual became Headmaster or Headmistress some time between 2008[1] and 2017 after Minerva McGonagall went into retirement as she was "getting on a bit."[2]
Behind the scenes
- Although J. K. Rowling initially said in interviews that McGonagall was "getting on a bit" and that Hogwarts had a new Headmaster by the time of the Epilogue in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (set in 2017), this was later retconned in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which has McGonagall in office as late as 2020.
