This individual was a wizard and Professor of Herbology at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He put dangerous plants into the Hidden Herbology Corridor, and was eventually succeeded by Mirabel Garlick.[1] He developed an interest in dragons.[citation needed]
Biography[]
This wizard once taught Herbology at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry before the 1890–1891 school year. One day, he cut into a Wiggentree that had a Bowtruckle living in its leaves. The Bowtruckle attacked him and damaged his eyes. After three weeks at St Mungo's, he regained a little eyesight and insisted on returning to his teaching post.
Within a week, he kicked a Chinese Chomping Cabbage, which he claimed was an accident, and had to go back to St Mungo's.
Some time after being discharged from the hospital, he lost his little remaining patience with a particularly temperamental Venomous Tentacula.
Following these events, he took an indefinite "leave of absence" from the school and was replaced as Herbology teacher by his former student, Mirabel Garlick. He travelled to Romania and had taken an interest in dragons.[3]
Personality and traits[]
According to Professor Garlick, despite being a Herbology teacher, he never really cared for plants. After the incidents that lead to his repeated admissions to St Mungo's, his indifference toward plants had turned to utter disdain.
