There existed a secret passage behind the mirror on the fourth floor of Hogwarts that led from the castle to the town of Hogsmeade. The secret passage was shown on the Marauder's Map, and Fred and George Weasley used it to sneak into Hogsmeade during their time at Hogwarts, until it caved in during the winter of 1992, completely blocking it. It is unknown where exactly the passage led to in Hogsmeade, nor how one would access it.[1] The passageway was large enough to hold a meeting inside.
