Montague Knightley (1506–1588) was a 16th-century Wizard Chess Champion. He was immortalised on a Chocolate Frog Card in recognition of his skill.[1]
Etymology[]
The name "Montague" is from a surname meaning "pointed mountain" in French. "Knightley" is presumably a nod to the Knight chess piece.
