Moribund's was a small shop located in Knockturn Alley. It was located next to the The Spiny Serpent, and opposite Borgin and Burkes. The shop was named after its shopkeeper, Moribund.[1]

Description[]

The contents of this shop were unknown, but through the small window there was an orange glowing light, indicating that the shop was open, despite its front door being locked.[1]

History[]

The door to the shop was locked during the summer of 1992, when Harry Potter tried to open it during an accidental visit to Knockturn Alley.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

  • The name Moribund comes from Latin moribundus, and means literally "dying", although the modern English usage of moribund is often with the sense of "stagnant" or "apathetic".
