This wizarding village was located within the mountains. It contained a governing body of village elders, and was home to Eliana and Illyius, as well as many other witches and wizards. The village was close to a dark forest as well as a castle owned by Raczidian, both of which were guarded by Dementors. To stop any attacks, every generation of citizens within the village were taught the Patronus Charm as a result.[1]

When Raczidian did meet the eye of Eliana as she was strolling through his forest, he decided it was his perfect opportunity to make her a wife, and sent a demand to her parents. They refused, prompting Raczidian to send a large army of Dementors to attack the village. The elders congregated and decided upon resisting the attack. Illyius would be ordered not to join in the village's defence, as his mouse Patronus had been perceived to be too feeble to aid it, and Eliana was shut away in his shack for safety.[1]
As the witches and wizards of the village fought the attacking Dementors, they were eventually overwhelmed and passed out. After being urged to do so by Eliana, Illyius emerged and conjured his own Patronus, which (contrary to what the other villagers had believed) was potent enough to permanently repel the Dementor attack. Furious at this turn of events, Raczidian personally entered the fray and attempted to conjure his own Patronus to ward off Illyius's. However, because Raczidian was neither pure of heart nor a worthy wizard, maggots shot out from his wand instead and they engulfed and consumed the Dark wizard. Illyius would in turn be hailed by the villagers as a hero, marrying Eliana and becoming a legend in history.[1]
