Mr Bigglesby was the name given to a Puffskein owned by a female ghost.

History

Amos Diggory: "We've received a report of a missing pet... A Puffskein, to be exact."

Jacob's sibling: "Oh, no! That poor creature's owner must be worried half to death!"

Amos Diggory: "It's worse than just 'half to death', I'm afraid... the Puffskein's owner is a ghost! See if you can track down the missing Puffskein and find this bereaved pet a new home."

During the 1990–1991 school year, Mr Bigglesby went missing and the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures was tasked to locate him. Amos Diggory had Jacob's sibling as part of their Ministry work experience help locate the Puffskein and to find it a new home. After filing complaints from the female ghost who owned him in the Spirit Division, they spoke to Rubeus Hagrid in his hut for help, and he told them he would find a new home for the lost Puffskein. Thanks to their help, Mr Bigglesby was found in Tinworth by the Ministry and sent to a new home.

Behind the scenes

• In the side quest Rise of a Curse Breaker a Dark wizard mentions he acquired a shrunken head from an old witch that lived in Tinworth after she died. This old witch may have been Mr Bigglesby's owner whilst she was alive.
