Mucus ad Nauseam Tria was the incantation of a curse used to give a target a head cold that increased in severity with each successive cast. It was the most powerful version of the Curse of the Bogies, though not when cast by itself.[3]

When this version of the Curse of the Bogies was cast once on a target by itself, it appeared identical to Mucus ad Nauseam Uno. However, if the recipient was already affected by any variation of the curse, including Tria, then each successive cast of Mucus ad Nauseam Tria would intensify the recipient's cold.
After Mucus ad Nauseam Tria had been cast on a target, casting the Duo or Uno variations would reduce the cold's intensity, as if the Tria version was never cast.
Mucus ad Nauseam Tria was the most powerful version of the Curse of the Bogies, because it was the only variant that intensified the effects with each consecutive cast. Because of the way these variants worked, in order to give the target the worst cold in the shortest amount of time, one must cast Mucus ad Nauseam Duo on the target, followed by Mucus ad Nauseam Tria successively from then on.[3]
