Banner of the New Salem Philanthropic Society, strong advocates of this ideology

"That's where you're going. A special school for freaks. You and that Snape boy… weirdos, that's what you two are. It's good you're being separated from normal people. It's for our safety."
Petunia Dursley talking with Lily Evans about Lily and Snape[src]

Muggle supremacy is a supremacist ideology in which Muggles are promoted on being superior in certain characteristics, traits and attributes on the contrary to wizards, who they perceive to be inferior. The ideology contrasts with pure-blood supremacy, in which pure-blood wizards are determined superior to Muggles.

The most well known Muggle supremacists against wizards and witches are Petunia and Vernon Dursley, the aunt and uncle of Harry Potter, from whom they tried to "extinguish" magic.[1] This disgust was eventually inherited by their son, Dudley Dursley, however unlike his parents, Dudley's supremacist views were based on fear, not hate.

During the 1920s, the New Salem Philanthropic Society, led by Scourer descendant Mary Lou Barebone, had been established with the purpose of the extermination and exposition of wizardkind.
