Noma Dumezweni (b. 28 July 1969) is a South African-English actress who portrayed Hermione Granger in the original West End Palace Theatre production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.[1] She left the London production on 21 May 2017.[2]
On 2 August 2017, it was confirmed that Dumezweni would be reprising her role of Hermione Granger in the original Broadway production.[3] She left the Broadway production on 17 March 2019.[4]
For her performances as Hermione, Dumezweni won an Olivier Award.
She narrated The Tale of the Three Brothers for the audiobook release of The Tales of Beedle the Bard.
She read Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Chapter 2 (The Vanishing Glass) for the Harry Potter At Home project.[5]
