Nora Treadwell was a witch who lived in the 19th century. She was an archaeologist and Merlin historian who studied the Trials of Merlin.[1]
Biography[]
In her youth, she began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry whose interest in Merlin piqued. She met her wife Priya Treadwell at Hogwarts and they eventually married. Priya gave a book about Merlin to her. She had followed Merlin's legacy and had written a number of books about him. The two had taken up residence at the Three Broomsticks Inn for the duration of her current expedition that involved a major discovery, trials Merlin left behind around Hogwarts and while she finished her book about Merlin's schooldays.[1]
During the 1890–1891 school year, she enlisted the aid of the new fifth-year in her studies and helped fight off Ashwinders in their attempts to abduct the student.[3]
Magical abilities and skills[]
- History of Magic: As an archaeologist, Nora had extensive knowledge in the field of history of magic. She displayed a specific interest in anything related to Merlin, including puzzles she called "Merlin Trials", and wrote several books about this legendary figure of the wizarding world.
- Duelling: Despite the fact that her occupation was not intrisically connected to duelling, Nora showed decent skills in the field. In 1890, she was able to help the new fifth-year student, using the Stunning Spell, the Levitation Spell and the Knockback Jinx against a group of Ashwinders trying to abduct them.
