Norihiko Senju was a Japanese wizard and the Headmaster of Mahoutokoro during the early 21st century.

Biography

At some point before 1997, when he was just getting his start in teaching, Norihiko was invited to Hogwarts Castle by Albus Dumbledore as a part of a cultural exchange.

In the 2011–2012 school year, he visited Hogwarts once again via one of the giant storm petrels for the Intercontinental Wizard's Cup, which four of his students (Yumi Ito, Hanae Katō, Kenji Kobayashi, and Tarōbō Amachi) would be attending.

Norihiko once mentioned to a student, during his stay at Hogwarts, that he was worried what would Hogwarts become after Dumbledore's death and was relieved to see the school carrying on his will and upholding his teachings.

When his student Kenji's drink was laced (by Viggo Victor) with something that aggravated his blood malediction and turned him into a humanoid fox, Norihiko and Headmistress McGonagall arrived at the scene and gave him a potion before taking him to the Hospital Wing.

Etymology

• Senju is a place name surname derived from the village of Senju, which once existed in Kaho County, Fukuoka Prefecture. The name of the village derives from the fact that there was a temple dedicated to Senju Kannon (The Thousand Armed Kannnon). One of the families that followed Emperor Tenchi on his expedition to Kyushu stayed in this village and took the surname derived from the name of the village.
