A shampoo, made from Occamy egg yolks, was a potion invented by Gilderoy Lockhart that supposedly guaranteed "locks of lustrous luminosity".[1][2]
History[]
As the name suggests, the treatment's primary ingredient is the egg yolks of the Occamy. Despite most of his achievements being falsified or stolen from other wizards and witches, this shampoo was completely genuine on Lockhart's part, though it proved to be a failure, as the expense and danger of producing it ensured it never was produced for a mass market.[1][2]
Behind the scenes[]
- In the real world, egg yolks and whole eggs have been used as a shampoo, on their own or as part of a mixture, for centuries.[3]
