- "I clearly state in chapter twelve that my ideal birthday gift would be harmony between all magic and non-magic peoples — though I wouldn't say no to a large bottle of Ogdens Old Firewhisky!"
- — Lockhart mentioning Ogden's Old Firewhisky[src]
Ogden's Old Firewhisky was a brand of firewhisky, a wizarding kind of whisky produced by Ogden.
History[]
This drink was a favourite of Gilderoy Lockhart, and he told his second-year Defence Against the Dark Arts class in 1992 that he would not say no to a bottle for his birthday.[1] Arthur Weasley also insisted on pouring a bit into a cup of tea made for Molly Weasley after the riot at the 1994 Quidditch World Cup.[2]
In the 21st century, Neville and Hannah Longbottom also enjoyed this — according to Rita Skeeter, much more than any teacher or landlady should.[3]
