Ogg was the gamekeeper at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during Arthur Weasley and Molly Prewett's time at the school. He may have had Rubeus Hagrid, the Keeper of Keys and Grounds, as his assistant, as he later replaced him. In 1995, Molly, now married to Arthur, reminisced a great deal about Ogg after seeing the intriguing Whomping Willow.
Behind the scenes
- Molly Weasley mentions that Ogg was the gamekeeper, but it is thought that Rubeus Hagrid was his assistant at the time and was possibly the next gamekeeper. It is unknown what really happened, as when Molly attended Hogwarts, the time line dictates that Hagrid would have already been expelled a few decades before and presumably already have been allowed to stay on as gamekeeper himself.
