Orsino Thruston (born 1975) was a wizard and the drummer for the popular band The Weird Sisters.[3][4]
Biography[]
Orsino was one of the three founding members of the Weird Sisters, along with Myron Wagtail and Kirley Duke. During the 1986–1987 school year, they were working on playing their first concert and approached Jacob's sibling to ask if they would perform with them. He helped Jacob's sibling discover inspiration for the concert and helped them learn the Cauldron to Guitar Spell and the Music Spell, as Jacob's sibling could not play an instrument. Later, during the concert, he played drums. After the concert, he was there when Jacob's sibling unstransfigured the black quill Myron had found.[5] He would go on to have other interactions with Jacob's sibling, as well as playing at the various concerts that the Weird Sisters performed during the 1980s.
On the 25 December 1994, Orsino played with the rest of his band at the Yule Ball at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Great Hall for the Triwizard Tournament celebrations that were being held at that time.[6]
Physical description[]
Orsino was bald with heavy black eyeliner and wore a metal necklace resembling an Iron Cross under a leopard print jacket. Severus Snape once commented that he "looked like You-Know-Who, if You-Know-Who had kept his nose, but lost his self-worth."[5]
On his Chocolate Frog Card, he forwent the black eyeliner and instead wore a green medieval-style hood.
