Oswald was the name of a Niffler kept in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures at the British Ministry of Magic. It was quite shy and had a habit of burrowing in a pile of coins to avoid attention.[1]
History
When Amos Diggory first showed the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures to Jacob's sibling during the 1990–1991 school year, as part of their Ministry student programme, he pointed out Oswald to them.[1]
