The Overlook Mine, sometimes known as the Overlook, was an abandoned mine used by Ranrok's Loyalists in the late 19th century.[1][2]
History[]
In the 19th century, accidents occurred at the Overlook, and after being reported, it was closed. Nonetheless, the mine was illegally used by Ranrok, the goblin rebel, as he searched for the ancient magic repository.[1]
During the 1890–1891 school year, the mine was infiltrated by Slytherin student Sebastian Sallow and his new fifth-year friend. The two later battled several goblins and spiders.[2][1]
Afterwards, they found Isidora Morganach's hideout and the second fragment of the triptych before returning to the Undercroft, Hogwarts Castle.[2][1]
