"Fred and George send them disguised as perfumes and cough potions. It's part of their Owl Order Service."
— Mention of the order service[src]

The Owl Order Service was used by various business in order to deliver their products to buyers. The Daily Prophet used this service to deliver their newspapers and so does Weasley's Wizard Wheezes to deliver a wide range of products.[1]

History[]

Owl Order Service

Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes' Owl Order Service

During the summer of 1993, Hermione Granger had the Daily Prophet delivered to her via Owl Order Service, believing it would be useful to keep up with events in the wizarding world. While on holiday in France that same summer, spotting an advertisement she had seen in the Daily Prophet, Hermione purchased a Broomstick Servicing Kit through the same service as a present for Harry Potter's thirteenth birthday.[2]

Fred and George Weasley did this in order to smuggle banned items form Weasley's Wizard Wheezes into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They did this under the nose of caretaker Argus Filch, disguising the products as perfumes and cough potions. Information regarding this service was explained on the back of the WonderWitch products the twins showed Hermione and their sister Ginny in the summer of 1996.[1]

Several girls spend the entire 1996-1997 school year deciding how to slip Harry Potter a love potion. They did this in order to get Harry to take them to Slughorn's Christmas party, and they all bought Fred and George's love potions. Romilda Vane tried to give Harry a love potion by spiking Chocolate Cauldrons with it. Filch had banned anything bought at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and students did not pay attention to what Filch has banned.[1]
