The Owl Post Office was a building in Diagon Alley. Even though it was an Owl Post Office where owls are hired to deliver letters and parcels, they also sold them to prospective owners. The shop had at least five types owls available; the Scops owl, Brown Fish owl, Barred owl, Barn owl and Eagle owl.[2]

Shortly before September 2008, Rubeus Hagrid told a new Hogwarts student to choose their first owl from here. They spoke to the Postmaster and after picking their owl, Hagrid purchased it as a gift.[1]
