A Parrot, also known as psittacine, are birds that can be found in tropical and subtropical regions.

At some time in or before 1991, Dudley Dursley possessed a parrot, which he swapped for a real live air rifle. The birdcage in which the parrot was kept was moved to The Smallest Bedroom.[1]

Just before Professor McGonagall announced the Yule Ball in 1994, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley were having a sword fight with a couple of trick wands in Transfiguration, where Ron's turned into a tin parrot.[2]
