Pawn to Queen was a Transforming spell that turned a pawn chesspiece into a queen chesspiece.
History
This spell was covered in sicth year transfiguration classes in the 1989 - 1990 school year.[1]
Behind the Scenes
- This spell may be a reference to promotion, a rule in chess saying that a Pawn is replaced with a queen, rook, knight or bishop when it reaches thei eighth rank of the chessboard.
