- "Look, it's a portrait of me! For you!"
- — Peeves offering this portrait of himself to Jacob's sibling[src]
This portrait of Peeves was painted by himself before or during the 1988–1989 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He attempted to give it to Jacob's sibling instead of the vault portrait, but failed.[1]
During the 1989–1990 school year and 1990–1991 school year, this portrait was used in Divination classes taught by Professor Sybill Trelawney, who had her sixth-year students observe various items in class to develop their senses.[2][3][4]
