The Pensieve Sentry was created by the Keepers to protect the secrets of ancient magic. These animated statues struck hard and fast but were vulnerable to a variety of magic.[1]
History[]
The Pensieve Sentries, armed with mace weapons, had guarded the Athenaeum, a secret chamber under the Restricted Section of Hogwarts Library, since the Tudor period.[2]
All of them were later destroyed by a new fifth-year student during the trials in 1890.[2]
