Minerva McGonagall kept a photograph of Dougal McGregor in her office at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry whilst Headmistress.[1]
History[]
Dougal McGregor was a handsome and intelligent Muggle who was briefly engaged to Minerva in their youth, but she chose not to marry him.[2] He was murdered by Death Eaters in the Second Wizarding War, along with his wife and children, which was terrible news to Minerva, as she wondered how she could have saved him if she was married to him.[3]
Minerva kept a photograph of him in her office at Hogwarts. During the Calamity in the late 2010s/early 2020s, it became a Foundable which was returned to her office by the Statute of Secrecy Task Force. Constance Pickering inquired Minerva whom the photograph depicted, but Minerva was reluctant to discuss the matter.[1]
