This photograph featured the two founders of the Hippogriff Club and the Dragon Club, Olin Oakwood and Margaretta Ironbark.[2]
History[]
An unknown person took this photo of Olin Oakwood and Margaretta Ironbark when the pair were still friends. After the Trials of Iron, Oak, and Flame during which the three friends Olin, Margaretta, and Skylar Flame grew to hate each other, Margaretta threw it into one of the braziers in the Dragon Clubhouse, however this didn't destroy the photo.
During the 1988–1989 school year, Jacob's sibling and Jae Kim found the photo whilst searching the Dragon clubhouse for anything belonging to Margaretta. Upon discovering the photo, it added to their confusion since their understanding was the three founders of the clubs hated each other. Later, after the Tournament of Clubs had ended with Jae being badly injured, Professor McGonagall gave the photo to Jacob's sibling to remind them of how competition can drive friends apart.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- It is possible that Skylar Flame took the photo, as she was also friends with Olin and Margaretta during this time and is not featured in the photograph.
- It is unknown exactly how the photo survived being thrown into a fire, but presumably either the photo or the fire was enchanted in some way so as to ensure its survival.
