This photograph was taken by Barnaby Lee during the 1988–1989 school year near the Great Lake at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and featured Sir Ribbithe and Caelan.[1]
History[]
During the 1988–1989 school year, Xenophilius Lovegood heard a rumour that a Crumple-Horned Snorkack had been spotted near Hogwarts Castle, so he visited the Three Broomsticks Inn and offered 87 Galleons in exchange for a picture of the creature, which he planned to include on the front page of an upcoming issue of The Quibbler. Many students including Barnaby Lee searched around the school, but instead of a Crumple-Horned Snorkack, he and several friends discovered what appeared to be a Moon Frog near the Great Lake. Barnaby took a photo using his camera, before Jacob's sibling realised it was actually Sir Ribbithe who had eaten Glow Bugs. On the photo, a Quintaped could be seen. Unable to find a Crumple-Horned Snorkack, they hoped to sell Xenophilius this photo instead, which he accepted.[1] Jacob's sibling later learnt from Rubeus Hagrid that the Quintaped was Caelan.[2]
After Xenophilius made use of the photo, it was kept by Jacob's sibling in their dormitory.[3]
