Poison ivy is the common name of Toxicodendron radicans, a poisonous plant known for the production of a fluid that causes skin irritation. Poison ivy can be used in potions, and grows wild in the woods near the Quidditch World Cup Campsite.[1]
Behind the scenes
- The presence of poison ivy in a British forest on Pottermore is odd, given that poison ivy is native to North America and is not known to have a substantial presence in any part of Europe.
