A poisoned vermin trap was a trap designed to catch and kill rats and other kinds of vermin with a poison of some variety. Such a trap was set up in a room of Hogwarts Castle reachable from the Hieroglyphic Hall, Lower Chambers Corridor North-East, and the Secret way to Slytherin common room, at least during the 1970s. The Marauders put a note on their map warning of this trap.[1]
