"Is this all real? Or has this been happening inside my head?"
The topic of this article is of a real-life subject that has been mentioned "in-universe" in a canon source. The Harry Potter Wiki is written from the perspective that all information presented in canon is true (e.g., Hogwarts really existed), and, as such, details contained in this article may differ from real world facts. |
A pony is a type of horse known for its small size.[1]
History
Ponies have been used by humans as riding animals for centuries. The wizard and Knight Sir Cadogan rode a grey pony when he defeated the Wyvern of Wye. It was later shown on his portrait at Hogwarts Castle.[2][3]
Some wild ponies lived in the New Forest in Hampshire.[4]
