Lady Prentiss Pagett-Goggins was a British witch. There was a portrait of her inside the Hogwarts Castle.[2]
Biography[]
The portrait of Prentiss Pagett-Goggins had once been placed in a house which burned down sometime before 1909. She was then moved to the Hogwarts Castle[2] where she was placed in the Grand Staircase near the painting of a knight put there to defend her.[3] However, she was eventually stashed down into the dungeons because of her excessive tendency to order people about and demanding that they had to get her some tea.[2]
Before Hallowe'en in 2009, she was invited to Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington's 517th Deathday Party. When a group of students came to the dungeons to search for a map for their History of Magic assignment, she responded when one of them asked about it. She asked them to move her back to the Grand Staircase, which Sir Nicholas agreed since she was not his favourite either. Upon return, she said her old neighbours had talked about the map, but they had been moved away during the Battle of Hogwarts. She described the place where one of them was moved to, which was identified as the Chamber of Secrets by the student. She reunited with her neighbours, namely Basil Aurelius III and Harold, after the students found them and returned them to their original place.[2]
Lady Goggins was often asleep in her portrait, leaning against a wall with bubbles going in and out of her nose. One evening after her return to the Grand Staircase, she was woken up by the group of students that put her back. She greeted them and the others agreed with her that was nice to be back together, but Harold told her not to get too emotional. She pointed out he was also emotional by asking if he was crying, but he responded that she was the one crying. Lady Goggins helped the students find her original placing on the wall, telling them she had a special guard by her side.[3]
