Priya Sharma was a Muggle-born witch who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the early 2010s.[2]
Biography[]
Priya was born into a Muggle family. She had an older sister named Hrithvi who was born a witch and attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Great Britain.[1] Priya was also born magical, and one year before the start of her first year at Hogwarts, she was brought to Britain as well.[2]
Priya attended Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin House. During her first year, terrifying messages similar to previous ones from the 1992–1993 school year appeared outside the Great Hall. All the first-year Slytherins accused Priya and claimed that she wasn't in the dormitory, but Priya swore she was asleep the whole night.[2]
Hrithvi wrote a letter to Tiburon Merriweather's great-grandchild, asking them to uncover the truth and prove Priya's innocence.[2]
The student and Cassandra Vole began investigating some clues and speaking to some students about Priya. They found out that she had been chased off the Second Floor's Lavatory by some students that met there in Salazar Slytherin's name. They also found out that even the Bloody Baron had warned her not to practice Parseltongue. The student and Cassandra eventually met with Priya at the Hospital Wing, where they found out that she suffered from sleepwalking episodes and learned that she believed being a Parselmouth meant someone who could interact with snakes and that she was practising the language because she really wanted to talk to her pet snake.[2]
The student revealed the truth soon after. Priya had been framed by her fellow pure-blood Slytherins because they believed that she was being a show off by having a pet snake and by calling herself a Parselmouth. They discovered her sleepwalking episodes and tampered with her medication, painting the messages along her path. They wanted her expelled or at least branded as a delusional girl that roamed the castle at night scrawling threats on the walls. The culprits confessed to the professors and Priya was cleared of the accusations, and her bond with her snake grew stronger.[3]
