Prudence Rabnott (fl. 1269), nicknamed Pru by her sister, was a woman who lived in Aberdeen, Scotland during the 13th century. She was the sister of Modesty Rabnott, from whom she had received a letter from after she lost her home.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- Prudence's surname was not revealed in the original printing of Quidditch Through the Ages. In Quidditch Through the Ages: Illustrated Edition, the letter to Prudence from Modesty Rabnott was illustrated, including the envelope which confirmed her surname to be "Rabnott".
- In 1269, the Statute of Secrecy did not exist, meaning that it is possible for Prudence to be a Muggle who knows about magic.
