The hair of the Puffskein, the small magical beast, had magical properties and could be used as an ingredient in potion making.[1]
History[]
The famous Potioneer Zygmunt Budge considered Puffskeins as largely pointless creatures, but found that several handfuls of their hair were invaluable ingredients in his version of the Laughing Potion.[1]
Beatrice Haywood during the 1988 summer holidays hand-stitched Jacob's sibling a toy Puffskein made from the hair of her family's Puffskein, which her sister Penny would have preferred to use in potions.[2]
