A pug is a small breed of dog known for its flat face.[1] Pugs were used in both the wizarding and the Muggle world as pets.[2]
History[]
On 6 December 1926, Newton Scamander's Niffler tried to grab the broach from a pug in Steen National Bank, New York, only for the dog to bark at it in response.[3]
It was a known corporeal form of the Patronus Charm; the witch Ivy Warrington had her Patronus take this form.[4][5]
