The Pungent Passage was a passageway located within the Bell Tower Wing[1] on the seventh floor of Hogwarts Castle. It provided access to the Porticus Olidus, the Poltergeist Passage, and a corridor that linked it to the Hall of Hexes and Runic Corridor.[2] It also linked the Hogwarts Turris Magnus to the West Tower.[1]
History[]
During the 16th century, a mishandling of a crop of Mimbulus mimbletonia caused a 'tsunami' of Stinksap to fill the hall and even after being cleaned with Scouring Charms, the rancid odour was still there.[3]
