Purple Firecrackers[1] (incantation unknown) was a charm used to emit purple firecrackers from the tip of one's wand.[2]
History[]
Professor Albus Dumbledore used this charm on 31 October 1991 to settle the student body after Professor Quirrell announced the presence of a mountain troll loose in the school dungeons.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- This spell is omitted from the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Instead, Dumbledore yells out "Silence!" to settle the student body down and then urges them not to panic.
