Purple Firecrackers[1] is a charm used to emit purple firecrackers from the tip of one's wand. Professor Albus Dumbledore used this charm on 31 October, 1991 to settle the student body after Professor Quirrell announced the presence of a troll in the school dungeons.[2]
Behind the scenes
- This spell is omitted from the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. In it, Dumbledore raises his voice in a yell of "Silence!" to settle the student body down.
