This Portkey[2] was an object kept in a particular version of the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts Castle. It transported travellers to the walk of the Qilin.[1] It was a swirling cylinder which sucked in the traveller.[3] It was engraved with gold and images of the Qilin.[4]
History[]
In 1932, Albus Dumbledore took Newt Scamander, Theseus Scamander, Jacob Kowalski, Lally Hicks and Bunty Broadacre to the Portkey. Newt and Jacob were sucked into it and transported to Bhutan.[1]
The Portkey was highly ornamental, and was covered in engravings of Qilins and symbols, as well as the writing 'THE WALK OF THE QILIN' and 'MAGISTERIAL CHAMBER OF ANCIENT WIZARDRY'.[5]
