- "It's a beautiful day for a friendly Quidditch match, with a 98.3% chance of edge-of-your-seat excitement!"
- — Murphy McNully commentating during the beginning of a Quidditch friendly[src]
Quidditch friendlies were informal Quidditch matches played at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in at least the 1980s. Unlike the formal matches in the Inter-House Quidditch Cup, which often had most of the school watching, Quidditch friendlies were only watched by dedicated Quidditch fans.[1]
History[]
In the 1985–1986 school year, Jacob's sibling came to watch a Quidditch friendly with Penny Haywood. This was considered unusual, as Jacob's sibling had never watched even an official Quidditch match at the school before. During this friendly, a Chaser was injured. A Bludger hit by Erika Rath almost hit Jacob's sibling in the audience, but it was stopped by Skye Parkin.[1]
The two teams played another friendly two years later. This friendly was the first match Jacob's sibling played as a Keeper. At the end of the friendly, Orion Amari was injured as a result of a Bludger hit by Erika Rath.[2]
