Throughout their school years, Jacob's sibling found several of these quills scattered around Hogwarts, which they used in their quest to track down the Cursed Vaults and learn more about R.[1][2]
Jacob, a former operative and later enemy of the organisation, also used this method to transfigure one of his notebooks into a black quill and left it for his younger sibling to find.
Known quills[]
Myron Wagtail's quill[]
Myron Wagtail discovered this quill during the 1986–1987 school year whilst he and Jacob's sibling were looking for objects to inspire Myron's upcoming concert. He wouldn't let Jacob's sibling have it until after the concert. When it was unstransfigured the message read: See what Mad-Eye Moody knows about the key. We cannot return to the Sunken Vault without it. -R.
