This raid was an early event within Ranrok's goblin rebellion that saw the invasion of Feldcroft, a hamlet in the Highlands of Scotland, the wounding of countless residents, and the cursing of Anne Sallow, a fourth year Slytherin student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.[1] The raid was organised by Ranrok and Victor Rookwood with the purpose of acquiring more information about Isidora Morganach and the source of ancient magic that was stored beneath Hogwarts Castle.[2]
Following the raid, Victor allowed the Loyalists to dig beneath his family home, Rookwood Castle, in a search for a repository of ancient magic.[1][4]
