- "He could tell at once that they carried different sorts of bubble bath mixed with the water, though it wasn't bubble bath as Harry had ever experienced it. One tap gushed pink and blue bubbles the size of footballs; another poured ice-white foam so thick that Harry thought it would have supported his weight if he'd cared to test it; a third sent heavily perfumed purple clouds hovering over the surface of the water."

Rainbow Bath Taps[2] were hundreds of enchanted golden bath taps that were fitted in the Prefects' Bathroom at Hogwarts Castle.[2][1] Each of these taps ran their own differently coloured and treated bathwater and bubble baths, each with different fragrances and remedies, providing students with a relaxing experience in the special bath.[2][1]
History[]
Harry Potter in the Prefects' Bathroom
On 21 January 1995, following advice from Cedric Diggory, a fourth year Harry Potter was able to access the Prefect's Bathroom with the password "pine fresh", so he could he use the swimming pool shaped marble bath there in order to unlock the secret of the Golden egg with water. In the bathroom, Harry poured himself a bath and tested these magical taps, and heavily enjoyed the experience of the different types of bubble bath these taps poured.[1]
In the 21st century, these taps became Foundables in the Calamity, during a seige of Foundables related to the Triwizard Tournament, which were returned to their original location by members of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force.[2]
