Ranjit was an American wizard who worked as an Auror for the Magical Congress of the United States of America in the 1920s.[1]

Investigative Team[]
Prior to 1926, Ranjit was handpicked as an investigator by Seraphina Picquery, President of MACUSA herself. In late 1926, she tasked him and the other members of the Investigative Team with investigating the root cause of the disturbances in New York City.[1]
Etymology[]
Ranjit, a boy's name of Sanskrit origin, means “influenced by charm” and “victorious,” perhaps hinting at a preternatural skill for persuasion.[2]
