This Hebridean Black dragon lived in the 19th century. At some point in or before 1890, it fell under the command of Ranrok, a goblin who led a rebellion.[1]
Biography[]
In 1890, Eleazar Fig and George Osric were talking in a flying carriage when a Hogwarts student succeeded in opening a container with the Vault 12 key inside using ancient magic. At the very same moment, the carriage was attacked by Ranrok's dragon, who cut it in half and killed Osric.[1]
Professor Fig and his student jumped out of the carriage, which was being crushed by the dragon, and began falling down. Fig finally summoned it, which, turning out to be a Portkey, transported him and his student away just before they could be eaten by the vicious dragon.[1]
Physical description[]
The dragon had black rough scales, two gigantic wings, five horns shaped like a crown, and a tail tipped with an arrow-shaped spike. Its eyes were glowing red.[1]
