The Retail Dry Goods Association was an American trade group that presumably represented manufacturers and sellers of fabrics, ready-to-wear clothes, and sundries (collectively known as "dry goods" in American English).[1][2]
The organisation had its headquarters at 130 West 42nd Street in an unknown city in 1926. That same year, W. de S. Trenholm, the organisation's secretary, served on a grand jury, which ended up being censured for misconduct.[1][2]

- The text of the article mentioning the Retail Dry Goods Association in the prop issue of the New York Chronicle featured in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was taken from the real 21 November 1922 issue of The Evening World. This represents an anachronism, as the film is set in 1926, but the actual historical event referenced happened in 1922.[2]
