Rhys Maybury was a witch who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where she was Sorted into Slytherin House.

Biography

Early life

After she received her Hogwarts acceptance letter, her mother took her to purchase a wand. At some point, her mother received a venomous bite and was sent to St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries for treatment.

Hogwarts years (1986–)

Before the beginning of the 1986–1987 school year, Jacob's sibling was tasked to guide Rhys, Virgil Fowler and Juniper Hunt around Diagon Alley to purchase their school supplies and board the Hogwarts Express in time for the Sorting Ceremony. They met Rhys along with the other students in King's Cross Station, where they introduced themselves and informed them of what would be happening, before taking them to the Leaky Cauldron for breakfast. Whilst she was there, Rhys introduced everyone to her pet Puffskein, Floofy, which Virgil found gross but Juniper was intrigued by.

Before they could start shopping, Floofy ran off and Rhys ran off in search of it. They searched all around Diagon Alley where they ran into Rubeus Hagrid, who was buying Flesh-Eating Slug Repellent and had found Floofy. Hagrid recommended training Floofy, and promised to help Rhys train Floofy when they were at Hogwarts. After buying a wand for Juniper, Rhys ran off with Virgil, who thought he had seen Bathilda Bagshot. Afterwards, they purchased their school supplies and Rhys purchased another pet, this time a Kneazle she named Sharpe.

They prepared to board the Hogwarts Express, but Virgil realised he had misplaced his copy of A History of Magic. As Jacob's sibling and Virgil ran off to find it, Juniper and Rhys made sure their luggage was boarded onto the train. Jacob's sibling and Virgil eventually made it back to the train, and Jacob's sibling answered questions the group had, before seeing them sorted. Rhys was sorted into Slytherin house, and met with Jacob's sibling in the days afterward to thank them and revealed that Sharpe had nearly stopped trying to eat Floofy.
