Rio de Janeiro is a city in Brazil. The Brazilian Ministry of Magic was located at the Parque Lage in Rio.[1]

In 1932, Vicência Santos, the Brazilian Minister for Magic, ran for Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards, and won the walk of the Qilin, her victory was celebrated in Parque Lage with the help of golden sparks shot into the sky by the wizards watching.[1]
