Robert Hawking was a student who began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry between 1987 and 1989.[3]
Biography[]
By the 1993–1994 school year, he had been made a prefect, and was tasked with patrolling areas of the school off limits to students.[3]
Etymology[]
Robert traces beck to Germanic name Hrodebert, which means 'bright fame'. This could relate to him being a prefect. Hawking could mean 'person with a hawk-like manner', which he displays, as his job is to patrol areas. Interestingly, Robert Hawking is also the name of Stephen Hawking's eldest son.

Notes and references[]
- ↑ To have been a Prefect in the 1993–1994 school year, he would have had to have been in his fifth year or up by that point, thus putting his possible range of birth dates between 1 September 1975 and 31 August 1978.
